Hospice is where the heart is

Last year when Molly moved to Hospice, it quickly became her home, filled with her family. Her home was not a house in Dover, it was the people in her Hospice suite – her kids and their spouses, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren – telling stories, laughing, joking, and shedding a few tears.

“The staff knew exactly what to do before anyone could ask. They took their time to make sure Mom was comfortable, treating her with dignity and compassion. There was a sense of community, knowing we were all taken care of. She was surrounded by caregivers who treated her with kindness and respect, and was able to find peace in a setting focused on easing pain and providing emotional support.”

What Your Donations Are Used For:


The chart below gives you an idea of the other expenses we must cover from fundraising revenue.

  • Compassionate Care

    Resident care is our top priority. Your donation will help cover the cost of things like personal care products, medical equipment and supplies. It also supports grief and bereavement support as well as community care coordination.

  • Connected and Comfortable

    Your donation will help keep our residents and their families comfortable and connected by covering the cost of utilities such as natural gas, electricity, water, cable, telephone and internet.

  • Home-like hospitality

    Making our residents and their families feel at home is important. Your donation will help pay for groceries as well as kitchen equipment and supplies.

  • Education and Awareness

    Your donation will support ongoing staff & volunteer education and training, as well as continually educating our community so people know Hospice is there to support them when needed.

  • Business as usual

    Although we want Hospice to feel like home to our residents, we must operate as a business. Your donation will cover costs associated with running a business such as accounting, human resources, purchasing, office equipment, supplies and insurance.

  • Keeping House

    Like your home, we want to keep a safe and tidy home. Your donation will help us do that by covering costs for laundry & housekeeping, ongoing maintenance, safety and security.
