The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation is fortunate to receive gifts from people and groups of all different ages and backgrounds. A gift recently received at the Hospice touched the hearts of everyone involved. Leah Barnier recently celebrated her eighth birthday. Instead of gifts, she asked for donations of gift cards to Hospice. Leah has a special connection to Hospice through a loved one. Leah’s friends and family responded generously and as a result, Leah donated $375 in gift cards to Hospice.
“Gift cards are a great way to help our Hospice families, especially in our kitchen, which is one of the busiest spots at the Hospice”, states Jodi Maroney, Executive Director of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. “We are so touched by Leah’s generous gesture to celebrate her birthday and to honour her loved one”.
