Sunny Skies for the 1st Annual Hike for Hospice
Over 350 participants came out to walk the Mud Creek Trail on Sunday, April 23rd raising $58,500 to support the ongoing operational needs of Chatham-Kent Hospice.
The walk opened with a bagpipe honour guard welcoming participants as they headed out on the trail. Many hikers were walking in memory of someone and took the opportunity to tie a ribbon on the Memory Wall to honour their loved one.
In addition to the Hike, Victory Lincoln was onsite with their Lincoln Driven to Give test drive event. Thanks to over 150 people who took a short test drive, we raised an additional $7,500 from Lincoln Canada.
“Thank you Chatham-Kent! We were thrilled with the results of our first annual Hike for Hospice. A special thank you to the many volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible including our Orienteer Sponsors the Chatham Lions Club, MC Business Solutions & MicroAge,” said Jodi Maroney – Executive Director, Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation
